Privacy Policy

Wall Panel Planner("we", "us") runs this website and the Build Pack download. We are the data controller for the information described below. You can reach us at hello@wallpanelplanner.com.

Purchases. When you buy the Build Pack, our payment provider Stripe collects your email address and payment details. We receive your email address and a payment reference, which we store so you can re-download the pack later or restore it on another device. We never see or store your full card details.

Shared designs. If you create a share link, the design you made is saved so the link works. Designs contain measurements and layout choices, not personal information. Share links are deleted automatically after about 60 days.

Design emails. If you ask us to email you a link to your design, we use your email address to send it and store the address with our email provider, Resend, so we can occasionally tell you about new styles, guides and features. Every such email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove your address entirely at any time.

Room photos. If you ask for an AI preview or AI ideas, the photo you choose is sent to our image generation provider, currently fal.ai, which processes it in the United States to produce the preview. We do not store your photo or the finished preview on our servers, and neither is linked to your name or email. fal.ai stores the request containing your photo for up to 30 days, and handles it under its own privacy policy. The previews you generate are saved in your own browser so you can look back at them, and clearing your browser data removes them.

Technical data. Our servers briefly use your IP address to prevent abuse and rate-limit requests. We also use Google Analytics and PostHog to understand how the site is used (for example, how many people open the planner or buy the pack).

We use the information above to:

• provide the Build Pack you paid for and let you download it again;
• generate the AI preview or ideas you asked for from your photo;
• send you your design link, and occasional product updates if you asked for one (until you unsubscribe);
• process refunds and respond to your questions;
• keep the service secure and working;
• understand and improve how the tool is used.

Our legal bases are performing our contract with you (delivering the pack), and our legitimate interests in running a secure, working service and understanding its use. Analytics cookies are used with your consent where required.

Payments are handled entirely by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never stored on our servers. Stripe processes your data under its own privacy policy, available at stripe.com/privacy.

We use Google Analytics and PostHog, which set cookies to measure site usage. This helps us see which features are used and whether the tool is working well. You can block or delete these cookies in your browser at any time without losing access to the planner.

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the providers that run the service for us:

• Stripe, for payments;
• Vercel, for hosting;
• Upstash, for the database that stores purchase records and share links;
• fal.ai, for generating AI previews and ideas from the photo you upload;
• Resend, for sending design emails and product updates;
• Google Analytics and PostHog, for usage statistics.

Purchase records are kept so you can restore your download in future. Share links are deleted after about 60 days. We do not keep the photos you upload for an AI preview; fal.ai holds the request containing your photo for up to 30 days. You can ask us to delete your purchase record sooner by emailing us, though this means you would no longer be able to restore the pack by email.

Some of our providers, including Stripe, Google and fal.ai, process data outside the UK. Any photo you upload for an AI preview is processed in the United States. Where providers transfer data out of the UK, they rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses to protect your information.

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to or restrict how we use it. To exercise any of these, email us at hello@wallpanelplanner.com. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
